As I worked on my previous TU-95 artwork and did research on the subject, I encountered several interesting stories.
This newest presentation is based on the testing of the Tsar Bomb, a story of the Cold War era. I am thinking about the crews which carried this massive bomb, did they volunteer, were they the best?? I am sure they were.
I researched several photos of this explosion and other nuclear mushroom clouds. This is mostly hand painted as well as most of all the artwork. These clouds seem to have a red tint. Also this is a concept scene only. I understand there was a special white reflective paint on both the AC's and the bomb bay doors were removed and the undercarriage modified. Hopefully it conveys the story as both the USA and the Soviet Union compete for world dominance.
